Twitter may Charge fee for commercial, government users, according to Elon Musk.
Musk, on the other hand, stated that the site would always be free for “casual users.”
“Twitter will always be free for casual users,” Musk wrote in a tweet, “but there may be a slight penalty for commercial/government users.”
“Some revenue is better than none!” he wrote in another tweet.
Tesla’s CEO has agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion (£35.2 billion), with $21 billion coming from his own pocket, $12.5 billion borrowed against his Tesla stock, and the remainder coming from bank loans.
He has earlier stated that he intended to “improve Twitter’s product with new features to make it better than before.”
Musk has recommended a number of changes to Twitter in recent tweets related to his objectives for the network, including making the algorithms that curate what users see on the platform “open source” – or transparent to developers and users.
In addition, he has promised to eradicate spambots and “authenticate” all individuals.
He promised more features and recommended improvements to Twitter Blue, the company’s new premium subscription service, including lowering the price.
According to Twitter, the paid-for supplementary service would include features such as a “undo tweet” button, bookmarks, and a reader mode.

Since last month, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has proposed a slew of Twitter modifications. Musk said he intended to improve the platform with additional features and open source the algorithms to promote confidence, combat spam bots, and authenticate all humans after adding the company to his basket recently.
Even before striking an agreement with Twitter, Musk proposed a few improvements to the Twitter Blue premium subscription service, including a price reduction.

Musk also originally claimed this week at the annual Met Gala in New York that he would make Twitter clear about how tweets are promoted or demoted, and that he wanted the company’s algorithms to be open to criticism.
Musk said he intended to improve the platform with new features, make the algorithms open source to build trust, combat spam bots, and verify all humans after agreeing to buy Twitter for $44 billion last week.
