Instagrams New Dual Camera Feature Is Out Now! BeReal is less about the actual photographs and more about the everyday practise of sharing something with your friends.

How to use Instagram Dual feature?

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your phone or tablet and click the + sign in the upper right corner.

Step 2: From here, select the “Reel” option.

Step 3: A list of alternatives will show on the left side of the next screen.

Step 4: Clicking the down arrow will display all of your selections.

Step 5: Select the “Dual” camera icon on the toolbar.

Step 6: To begin recording, click the record symbol in the center.

Step 7: After you’ve finished filming, you may edit this video by adding effects, music, and so forth, just like you can with other Reels.

Though Instagram is plainly riffing off BeReal and not Frontback, it seems to be missing the core of why people even appreciate BeReal. Despite the two cameras being fun, BeReal is perhaps more like Wordle than it is like Instagram or Frontback (which other writers have also pointed out). It visually resembles BeReal, a well-known social app with a two-year history that is now ranked No. 1 in the App Store. Former GoPro workers Alexis Barreyat and Kévin Perreau established BeReal in France, which describes itself as the anti-Instagram.

Every day at a specific moment, you receive a reminder telling you that it’s “time to BeReal” (a phrase that has become a meme in itself). You must use both the front and rear cameras, so you have exactly two minutes from the moment the alert is given to take a picture of whatever you’re doing.

It is supposed that this unpredictability will encourage honesty, but in practise, it merely leads to more photos of our friends using laptops or binge-watching Netflix. For copying Frontback, a short-lived site that had users like Jack Dorsey, Ashton Kutcher, and the Belgian prime minister, BeReal has drawn criticism. Instagram Dual is an egregious imitation of BeReal, yet BeReal has also drawn criticism for imitating Frontback. With frontback, you can take photos with both your front- and back-facing phone cameras at the same time.

What is Dual Reels on Instagram?

Users may now concurrently shoot videos on Instagram using the front and back cameras thanks to the new Dual functionality. The front camera’s output will display in a little window on this, sort of like a response video, while the back camera’s output will occupy the most of the screen.
