Intel 11th-gen Rocket Lake Processor
So in January, Intel made some early announcements about its 11th gen in-air quote CPU, which would be the 11900k and, to a lesser extent, the z 590, as well as other chipsets. For example, we previously reported that the newer non-z series chipsets would allow memory overclocking, which is also news.

While the 12900K marks the pinnacle of Intel’s CPU offerings, the 12600K is equally capable of delivering high performance to the mainstream market. In fact, we think the Core i5-12600K is the greatest gaming CPU available right now.
We haven’t yet had a chance to test Intel’s new mainstream Alder Lake chips, but we’re confident that they’ll outperform their predecessors.
Support for cutting-edge features like as DDR5 and PCIe Gen 5 are also important considerations. We don’t think these additions will change the game, at least not right now, but they will set you up for many years to come.
You may also keep the overall cost of an Alder Lake PC low by using DDR4 and PCIe 4.0-only B660 motherboards until you’re ready for a full-fledged upgrade to the new platform.
