Cyberpunk 2077, which was released in 2020, had a rocky start due to its convoluted introduction, ongoing difficulties, and flaws. CD Projekt, on the other hand, has been able to successfully handle the majority of the game’s issues by releasing fresh updates and patch fixes on a regular basis.
CD Projekt recently published the 1.5 patch update to optimize the game for next-generation systems, but it inevitably brought a new issue for PS4 owners.
When trying to play the disc version of the game on a PS4, the system will display an error message indicating that the game is corrupted and cannot be launched. After applying the 1.5 patch update, PS4 players were unable to play it.
Sony releasing system update on PS4 to fix Cyberpunk 2077 technical issue
Following several concerns from the gaming community about the game’s unplayability, CD Project and Sony have released a technical update that tries to fix Cyberpunk 2077’s launch issue on PS4. PlayStation said on Twitter that a new system update for PS4 systems will be released to remedy the issue.
The enormous 50 GB 1.5 patch update for Cyberpunk added a tonne of new content as well as a slew of bug fixes. Support for next-generation consoles, such as the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, was also introduced in the latest update.
Players will be able to enjoy the game in a much better state and free of buggy gameplay after successfully installing the technical update.
The game received a substantial overhaul with the 1.5 patch update, which included everything from a ray-tracing mode (available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X) to mid-game appearance modification.
Additionally, players will be able to rent new apartments, alter their characters’ hair, piercings, and cosmetics in-game, and wield new weapons such as the Darra Polytechnic Umbra, Budget Arms Guillotine, and others.
CD Projekt has also made significant adjustments to the gameplay, including the addition of a new Combat AI for NPCs, as well as changes to vehicle driving models and player dynamics.

We should all know by now that Cyberpunk 2077 and PlayStation 4 rarely go nicely. Some PS4 gamers have been unable to launch their disc version of Cyberpunk 2077 since the game’s massive 1.5 update was released earlier this week – and Sony is working to resolve the issue.
Can my computer run Cyberpunk 2077?
The PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 requires Windows 10 64-Bit or later to run.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 fixed?
A new patch for Cyberpunk 2077 contains several bug fixes. While patch 1.52’s several bug fixes for Cyberpunk 2077, including one key one that resolves the game’s PlayStation saving problems, do not offer any new content.
It’s almost unheard of for a full system update to be released only to get a game to run properly on the disc, but at least something is being done to remedy the problem. We can only assume that the issue arises from the systems side of things.

A-If you know exactly what you’re getting, I strongly advise you to purchase the game. It has some truly great storylines, both in the main campaign and in the countless side quests, as well as some quite fascinating lore. The script is almost always superb, even if the gameplay is very formulaic.
Q-Is Cyberpunk 2077 fixed on PS4?
