According to reports, the outage began at 3 a.m. and peaked around 7 a.m.

Last week, Elon Musk took control of Twitter and ousted its senior executives.

He also began mass layoffs today. According to an unsigned internal document obtained by The Verge, Twitter employees were warned via email that layoffs will commence.

According to the internal message, employees will receive an email by 9 a.m. PST on November 4 verifying whether they have been laid off or not. Employee badge access to Twitter’s offices will also be “temporarily” disabled.

“We recognize that this is an extraordinarily difficult experience to go through, whether or not you are impacted,” the memo stated.

“Thank you for adhering to Twitter standards that restrict you from revealing private corporate information on social media, with the press, or anywhere else,” the memo continued.

Musk is likely to lay off around half of Twitter’s 7,500-person workforce.

Musk has already signalled that he will make job cuts at Twitter, telling employees at a town hall gathering last summer that the social network need “a reduction of manpower.”

Twitter welcomed Musk’s plan to buy and privatize the social media site in April. Musk, on the other hand, quickly cast doubt on his plans to follow through on the arrangement, claiming that the firm failed to sufficiently reveal the quantity of spam and fraudulent accounts on the service.

Twitter Outage: It appears like Twitter will be the next site to go down, following Instagram and WhatsApp, as a succession of social media outages have plagued users over the past week.

Twitter has been in turmoil since SpaceX and Tesla creator Elon Musk took over the firm last week, and job cutbacks are likely to begin today. Users are already reporting disruptions with Twitter’s Web client, implying that something is awry.

Twitter Web is not loading and instead displays a crash warning to many users. However, at the time of writing, the mobile app was still operational.

According to the outage monitoring website DownDetector, many individuals are experiencing problems with Twitter’s website. However, the problem has not yet affected all Twitter users. This makes determining what is wrong challenging. Twitter has yet to provide an official remark on the topic.

Twitter is now allegedly back up and running for many of the affected users. However, we are still waiting for an official statement on the nature of the problem.
