The new framework will be powered by Tizen, the industry’s own Linux-based desktop. Over 200 million Samsung gadgets, the most of which are smart Televisions, are powered by the Software.
Even during presentation, Yongjae Kim, Executive Vice President of Video Display System Research & development activities at Samsung, said, “We are currently developing Cloud Downloadable Game to expand user gaming choice on Samsung Smart TVs.” “This implies that you could eventually be able to play games without having to buy high-end hardware.”
Besides the introduction, the firm hasn’t revealed any other information regarding the framework, such as which titles will be offered through it.
Because the business stated that the service will be a substitute to “high-end gear,” this could be akin to what Microsoft offers with its Stadia new streaming service.
